Unfortunately we are unable to take bookings for an MOT only at this time.
Why not book your vehicle in for an interim service? With our MOT costs as low as they are sometimes our interim service with an MOT isn't that much higher than what some garages charge for a MOT alone.
If you would like to get a quote for your vehicle or place a booking you can do this on our website, using the following link: https://www.servicingstop.co.uk/ or by clicking the button below:
Why is an MOT needed?
By law you are required to check the safety of your vehicle once a year, if the vehicle is more than three years old. The MOT test is carried out by professional mechanics who determine whether your vehicle meets the minimum road safety and environmental standards. Several checks are done to ensure these requirements are met. Without a valid MOT certificate, you will not be applicable for road tax and your car insurance becomes invalid.
Where can I get an MOT test done?
An MOT can be carried out by any garage authorised as an MOT testing station. Most garages will display the MOT logo (three blue triangles) to show they are an authorised MOT test station.
When should I renew my MOT?
You must renew your MOT every year, once the vehicle is three years old (from the date it was first manufactured). An MOT is valid for one year and you will need to renew your MOT certificate within a month before your existing MOT certificate expires.
My MOT isn't due yet, can I still have it done?
Yes. If you have your MOT within 28 days of the expiry date, the next 12-month period will be dated from your current expiry date. But if you have your MOT earlier than this, the 12-months will be dated from the most current MOT.
