Depending on your vehicle's make and model a specialist oil may be required. All specialist oils do come at a set cost of £29.99 + VAT and should your vehicle require a specialist oil the service advisor will notify you of this on the service day.
What do you class as being Specialist Oil?
At Servicing Stop we class oils, such as; Long Life, Low Ash, Eco and Fully Synthetic as being specialist.
Why is the Specialist Oil not included in the service cost?
At this present time there is unfortunately no uniform vrm (vehicle data) provider that gives full engine chassis codes for vehicles and some vehicles for example a VW golf gti, 2006 models may have 4 different engine codes, each of which will require a different specification of oil.
As each vehicle will require a different specification of oil we are unfortunately unable to confirm at the time of the booking if a specialist oil will be needed or not so once the vehicle is at the garage the mechanic will inspect it before advising the particular brand and type of oil needed.
